AThe decay plants or collection and control plants are designed to treat and control radioactively contaminated faecal and laboratory wastewater. Through decay, these are brought down to the maximum concentration limits permitted by the current German Radiation Protection Ordinance, then checked and pumped into the sewers.

Fields of application are nuclear therapy stations and PET centres in hospitals or research facilities of the pharmaceutical and veterinary medicine industries.
